UI engineer (3-5 yrs exp.)
Responsibilities
- Convert designs into clean and easy to maintain markup using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Create clean mark-up that is scalable, accessible and search engine friendly.
- Design for and troubleshoot cross browser compatibility issues.
- Participate in the design and development of new UI functionality for web applications.
- Troubleshoot and fix defects in the user interface of our products.
- Requirements
- 3+ years experience developing web application using Javascript, AJAX and standards compliant HTML.
- Strong experience with at least one front end framework, preferably jQuery.
- Demonstrated skills overcoming browser quirks and inconsistencies.
- Bonus points for familiarity with JSP.
- Strong user experience instincts.
- Good understanding of SEO tips, tricks and techniques a major plus.
- Exposure to tools such as SVN, Trac etc.
- CSS3 and HTML5 a bonus.
