Summary
To be fully responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of the website and web application.
Can directly communicate with client for Design requirements.
Individual Contributor
- Transform ideas and convert visual designs into web pages.
- Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to gather user requirements, technical requirements, and system specifications.
- Create web prototypes and demos (marketing, proof-of-concept, technical)
- Keep abreast of mobile technologies, and create touchable event proof of concepts
- Ability to multi-task.
Mandatory Skills
- Ability to hand code all HTML, including all standard tags and tables.
- Knowledge of implementing HTML across browsers, platforms and devices.
- Proficiency in HTML5, mastery in CSS3 and JavaScript and its libraries.
- Proficiency in the use of Dreamweaver.
- Proficiency knowledge in YUI.
- MS Windows operating systems.
- Understanding and exposure to XML and XHTML.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
Good to have
- Exposure and understanding of code management, like subversion.
- Knowledge of building accessible web solutions.
- Knowledge of customer experience and information architecture.
- Experience using rapid prototyping tools like JustInMind, iRise, Axure, etc
- Experience with Apple OSX
- Understanding of content management systems.
- Handicap accessible code (WCAG 2.0 Level A/AA Compliant)
- Knowledge on JQuery is an added advantage.
